Dr Kudakwashe Tagwirei Joins ZANU PF Central Committee
Businessman Dr Kudakwashe Regimond Tagwirei has officially become a member of the ZANU PF Central Committee following the ratification of his co-option, which was recommended by the party’s Harare Province.
The announcement was made during the 128th session of the Central Committee held at the party’s headquarters in Harare.
The Central Committee is ZANU PF’s highest decision-making body outside of Congress and plays a key role in shaping party policy and direction.
Dr Tagwirei’s inclusion highlights his growing involvement in national and party affairs. Known for his strong support of the party and various national projects, he has demonstrated his commitment by reportedly spending US$23 million to purchase 300 vehicles for use by Central Committee members.
He is expected to join other ZANU PF members in Mutare later this week for the party’s annual conference.
Observers say Dr Tagwirei’s appointment reflects his close relationship with the party and his continued influence in Zimbabwe’s business and political landscape.
