Hustlers4ED: Second Republic Unlocking Opportunities for Entrepreneurs
ZIMBABWEANS from various sectors are enjoying the fruits of the Second Republic, thanks to business opportunities that have been opened up, since President Emmerson Mnangagwa assumed power, a local entrepreneur has said.
Hustlers4ED Harare Province chairperson Mr Lovemore Chogugudza acknowledges that the Second Republic has empowered people in different business sectors.
Hustlers4ED is a grouping of entrepreneurs from the informal sector.
“Opportunities have been opened up by the Second Republic under the astute leadership of His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“We now have a lot of people who are self reliant because they have different businesses that they are running,” said Chogugudza.
“Yes, some people might prefer to call it hustling but to us this is self employment.
“Hustling involves a lot of things, from vending to transport and logistics.
“But for that to thrive, the environment has to be enabling.
“Thankfully, the Second Republic has availed that environment,” added Mr Chogugudza.
The informal sector has become a major driver of the economy as a large number of Zimbabweans are now into entrepreneurship.
“We are saying it’s not all about white collar jobs, because there are a lot of opportunities out there.
“Whether its farming or mining, you can still find avenues to make money.
“President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been on record urging people to find genuine avenues to generate income and live an honest living,” said Mr Chogugudza.
He added: “At the same time we are speaking against drug and substance abuse through occupation.
“When one finds something to do then chances are high they will not be involved in drugs
*As Hustlers4ED we are targeting the young and the old, with the motto hustling for all.
“We are also advocating for resource mobilisation through various channels including bank loans and other capacitation avenues.”
