The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of another suspect linked to the murder of 67-year-old Joseph Mutangadura, which occurred at Mutangadura Hideout in Ruwa, Harare, on 17 August 2025.

In a statement released on 17 October 2025, the police identified the latest suspect as Given Mandizadza (34), who was apprehended in connection with the same case. His arrest follows that of Phillip Mutasa (38), who was taken into custody earlier on 4 October 2025.

According to the ZRP, detectives from the CID Homicide Division acted on a credible tip-off, leading them to the suspect at the intersection of Robert Mugabe Road and Julius Nyerere Way in Harare on 13 October 2025. Mandizadza was arrested without incident.

During the operation, officers reportedly recovered several items from a white Isuzu vehicle linked to the suspect, including two pistols, live ammunition, fuses, and other materials believed to be of evidential value.

The police expressed appreciation to the public for their cooperation, noting that the information shared by citizens was instrumental in tracking down and arresting the suspect.
