The 10th edition of the Castle Lager Braai Festival, held at Glamis Arena in Harare, was a vibrant celebration of music and youth, with emerging artists—led by Nutty O—stealing the spotlight in spectacular fashion.

Standing out as a headline act, Nutty O delivered a standout performance that proved he has evolved into a seasoned performer. His energy, confidence, and ability to connect with the audience set him apart, leaving an unforgettable impression on those in attendance.

Hailing from Mbare, Nutty O has steadily risen through the ranks of Zimbabwean music. Once closely watched as an up-and-coming act, he now commands the stage with poise and maturity. His crowd engagement, vocal precision, and smooth coordination with his live band reflected an artist fully in control of his craft.

He treated fans to a setlist of sing-along favourites, including hits like “Handipere Power” and “Boom Shelele,” creating a shared experience that had the audience on their feet.

“I always put my heart into every performance,” Nutty O shared after the show. “It means a lot to be supported like this. I genuinely appreciate my fans—without them, I wouldn’t be here.”

With several awards under his belt, Nutty O emphasized that humility and respect for supporters remain key to his success. “I’ve always paid attention to those who believe in me. That respect will never change,” he added.

Fellow artist Saintfloew, making a return to the stage after a recent health scare, also gave a heartfelt performance. Expressing gratitude for the crowd’s overwhelming support, he said, “This show meant everything to me. The love I received was humbling.”

Saintfloew, a figure of resilience and determination in the music scene, promised to maintain his work ethic and deliver more for his fans. “I love what I do, and I’ve poured myself into it. Fans can look forward to a new album this November—it’s my way of saying thank you.”

The festival wasn’t short of other show-stopping moments. Winky D, a perennial crowd favorite, proved once again why he remains a mainstay in Zimbabwean music, while Tamy Moyo impressed with a polished performance earlier in the day, even as the venue was still filling up.

Ammara Brown, making a much-anticipated return following her maternity break, captivated the crowd with a powerful set. Her mix of her own songs and tributes to her late father, music legend Andy Brown, resonated deeply with the audience. Her poised return marked a new chapter in her career, with the performance widely described as magical.

With a perfect blend of sizzling braais, great vibes, and incredible music, this year’s Castle Lager Braai Festival was a memorable showcase of Zimbabwe’s musical talent—especially the young stars redefining the industry.
