Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior could be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabéu, with reports from Diario AS suggesting the Brazilian forward is seriously considering his future at the club.

The 25 year old has endured a frustrating start to the season under new coach Xabi Alonso, who has left him out of the starting lineup three times and substituted him frequently. According to ESPN, tensions between player and coach have intensified following Vini Jr.’s angry reaction to being withdrawn during Madrid’s 2–1 El Clásico victory over Barcelona on Sunday.

The report adds that the relationship between the two has deteriorated, prompting the club to arrange face to face talks in an attempt to ease the standoff. Should the situation fail to improve, Vinícius could push for a move as early as the January transfer window. The winger was already linked with a lucrative switch to Saudi Arabia during the summer, and renewed interest from abroad is expected if he becomes available.

Meanwhile, in Catalonia, Barcelona are reportedly still exploring a potential move for AC Milan’s Rafael Leão, according to Diario Sport. The 26 year old Portugal international is viewed as a long term attacking option, though his €80 million valuation remains a major obstacle.

Barça’s final decision could depend on the future of Marcus Rashford, who is currently on loan from Manchester United. The England forward has impressed on the left wing, and his performances may convince the Blaugrana to pursue a permanent deal rather than chase Leão.

Both situations highlight growing uncertainty in the transfer market ahead of the January window, as two of Europe’s biggest clubs prepare for potentially major attacking shake ups.
