🔴 LIVE COURT UPDATE: Prophet Magaya back in court
Prophet Walter Magaya, his wife, and their co-accused have been denied immediate release in their ongoing bail ruling.
The court acknowledged that the trio had been held beyond the normal detention period, but ruled that this did not warrant automatic release.
They have been remanded in custody until 13 November 2025, pending further proceedings.
Defence lawyers argued that the continued detention amounted to over-detention, but the court maintained that the matter must proceed through normal judicial channels.
It is alleged that Prophet Magaya initially approached former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Gideon Gono seeking to use his land for farming activities, but later sold the land for residential development instead.
