Zimbabwe’s national team prepares for Africa Cup of Nations build-up under new leadership

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced a 24-man national team squad for upcoming friendlies against Algeria and Qatar, marking the first selections under newly appointed Romanian coach Marian Marinica.

The squad combines experienced players such as Marvelous Nakamba and Teenage Hadebe with emerging stars, including top scorer Washington Navaya.

This mix aims to prepare the Warriors for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Zimbabwe will face Algeria on November 13 in Jeddah, followed by a match against Qatar on November 17. These games serve as preparation for the Group B stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, where the Warriors will take on Egypt, Angola, and South Africa.
