Warriors Touch Down In Saudi Arabia Ahead Of Friendly Clash With Algeria
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has confirmed that the Warriors have safely arrived in Saudi Arabia for their upcoming international friendly against Algeria.
The match is scheduled for Thursday at 6:30 PM CAT in Jeddah, as Zimbabwe continues its preparations under newly appointed coach Marian Marinica.
According to ZIFA, the first group to arrive comprised locally based players, those plying their trade in South Africa, and Germany based midfielder Jonah Fabisch, who linked up with the team early. The remainder of the squad, including several Europe-based players, is expected to join camp on Monday afternoon.
“The Warriors have arrived safely in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ahead of their international friendly against Algeria,” read part of ZIFA’s statement.
“The squad includes a strong mix of locally based and South African based players, with Jonah Fabisch already in camp. The European contingent is expected to complete arrivals today.”
The first training session was set for 4:00 PM local time, marking the start of final preparations for Thursday’s encounter against the North African giants.
