ZCDC Board, Management Sign Integrity Pledges To Strengthen Governance
The Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) on Wednesday formalized its commitment to transparency and ethical governance with the signing of integrity pledges by its board and management.
The pledges, widely recognized globally as symbols of accountability and ethical responsibility, require officials to uphold high standards of corporate governance and actively combat corruption.
Integrity pledges are public declarations in which corporate leaders commit to honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct, and are increasingly being used as tools to promote good governance in public entities. In Zimbabwe, the initiative is being championed by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, ZCDC board chairperson Onesimo Mazai Moyo described the pledge as both a personal and institutional commitment to integrity.
“This event reflects ZCDC’s ongoing efforts to improve and position itself as a world-class diamond producer,” Moyo said. “It represents a public declaration to behave ethically and take responsibility for preventing and reporting corrupt practices.”
The ceremony underscores the company’s resolve to align with best practices in corporate governance while reinforcing the fight against corruption in the public sector.
