Jealousy man kills girlfriend in cold blood
An unremorseful Mashonaland Central man fatally bludgeoned his girlfriend in the dead of the night with an unknown object on the head in a bid to stop her from securing a passport.
National Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect in connection with a case of murder.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information on the whereabouts of Venia Dumba in connection with a murder case that occurred at Moses Nyoni Homestead, Vidinge, Munhundze area.
“On 16 November 2025, at around 2100 hours, the victim had an argument with her boyfriend, regarding her missing birth certificate, which she needed in order to apply for a passport at the Rutenga Registry Offices,” said Commissioner Nyathi.
He said the victim’s sister immediately informed the accused, Venia Dumba, about the argument.
“Early in the morning on 17 November 2025, the victim’s sister discovered the victim lying on the ground with blood on her body.
“The accused, Venia Dumba, was nowhere to be found at the homestead.”
