Miss Universe Zimbabwe Cracks Top 30 as Mexico’s Fatima Bosch Takes 2025 Crown
Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Lyshanda Moyas, delivered an impressive performance at the 74th Miss Universe Competition, securing a coveted place in the Top 30 at the grand finale held at the Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.
Moyas advanced through a highly competitive preliminary round to reach the Top 30, a significant milestone considering she was one of only three African representatives to make it that far this year. From the Top 30, judges further trimmed the field to the Top 12, then the Top 5, before selecting the final trio to compete for the global title.
Although Moyas narrowly missed out on progressing to the Top 12, her placement is being celebrated as a strong showing on the international stage and a testament to Zimbabwe’s growing presence in global pageantry.
The competition concluded with Fatima Bosch of Mexico being crowned Miss Universe 2025, succeeding Victoria Theilvig of Denmark, the reigning Miss Universe 2024. Bosch’s victory capped a night of high-energy performances, cultural showcases, and intense competition among contestants from more than 80 countries.
Moyas’ achievement has sparked pride back home, with many highlighting her poise, confidence, and representation of Zimbabwe on one of the world’s most prestigious beauty platforms.
