Uebert Angel Heaps Praise on Scott Sakupwanya, Calls Him a Football Visionary

Ambassador-at-Large and popular preacher Uebert Angel has showered praise on businessman and Scotland FC owner Hon. Scott Sakupwanya, describing him as a great strategist whose passion for football is transforming Zimbabwe’s sporting landscape.

Speaking on the Scottland Magazine show, Angel said he normally does not accept interviews or podcast invitations, but made an exception because of the deep respect he has for Sakupwanya, whom he referred to as a global icon.

Angel said Sakupwanya’s investment in football has changed lives and reshaped the direction of the sport in Zimbabwe.

“Hon Scott has injected life into Zimbabwean football. A lot has changed and many young people have found purpose,” he said.

He also emphasized the global significance of football, noting that with over 3.5 billion followers worldwide, the sport is too influential for God not to care about.

Angel further praised Sakupwanya for his work in Mabvuku, where he has bought cars, houses, and carried out various community-development initiatives.
