DYNAMOS LAND MAJOR KIT SUPPLY DEAL WITH PAKISTAN MANUFACTURER
Struggling on the pitch but thriving off it, Dynamos have secured a significant commercial boost after clinching a new kit sponsorship agreement with Pakistan sportswear manufacturers Sport De Vitara.
The partnership was formalised at the Pakistan Embassy in Harare on Thursday, just hours after Dynamos edged Yadah 1-0, only their second win in 16 league matches to move to 14 points and slightly relieve relegation pressure.
Despite their poor start to the campaign, the Glamour Boys’ commercial appeal remains strong. That brand strength was on full display as the club sealed a deal that will see them receiving full playing kits, training gear, travel wear, and replica merchandise from Sport De Vitara, a company that also supplies Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.
The agreement will be activated in January.
The development fulfils a pledge made in 2023 by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Murad Baseer, who previously donated customised football equipment to the Harare giants.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ambassador Baseer expressed delight at finally connecting Dynamos with a reputable manufacturer from his country.
“We have managed to bring a Pakistani company that specialises in high quality sports goods,” he said. “Their arrival in Zimbabwe marks an important step. Dynamos are a massive club with huge support, and we are happy to bring this partnership to life.”
Sport De Vitara chairman Asim Ijaz Malik said he was honoured to expand the company’s footprint into Zimbabwe, crediting Ambassador Baseer for facilitating the engagement.
“I am very happy. I believe Dynamos players and supporters will be pleased with our products,” Malik said. “We are already operating in Ghana, Egypt and several other countries, and adding Zimbabwe through Dynamos is something we are very proud of.”
The signing ceremony was attended by Dynamos board chair Bernard Marriot Lusengo and the club’s entire executive.
Dynamos executive chairman Moses Maunganidze described the deal as a major step in the club’s ongoing restructuring efforts.
“I’m extremely happy, especially coming after our 1-0 win over Yadah earlier today,” he said. “We have set key deliverables as a club, and this partnership is one of the major milestones. Our aim is to rebuild Dynamos and make it a giant again.”
Maunganidze added that replica kits would soon be made available to supporters as part of the new partnership.
