Tagwirei Urges Zanu PF to Tighten Discipline and Strengthen Grassroots Structures

Zanu PF Central Committee member Kudakwashe Tagwirei has called on the ruling party to intensify its focus on discipline, unity and community-driven development, saying the continued success of government programmes depends on strong structures and consistent delivery at grassroots level.

Speaking during a party engagement this week, Tagwirei said Zanu PF must remain firmly aligned with national priorities aimed at stabilising the economy, strengthening public services and expanding economic opportunities for citizens.

Tagwirei stressed the need for party leaders to work closely with communities to ensure that government policies are translated into practical improvements in people’s lives. He also urged members to uphold accountability and maintain a high standard of leadership, warning that complacency would undermine the party’s long-term goals.

He further highlighted the importance of supporting key economic reforms, noting that sustained unity within the party was critical to achieving progress across sectors such as agriculture, mining and infrastructure development.

Political observers say Tagwirei’s remarks come at a time when Zanu PF faces growing public pressure over service delivery gaps and economic hardships, increasing the need for clear communication and tangible action from both government and party structures.

More directives on party mobilisation and development programmes are expected to be outlined at upcoming provincial and national meetings.
