ZANU PF Delegation Heads to China for High-Level Youth Leadership Exchange

ZANU PF Deputy Secretary for National Security, Cde Tendai Chirau, is leading a five member delegation to China for a three week international exchange programme aimed at strengthening cooperation with developing nations.

The delegation is attending a workshop organised by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee under the theme “Shaping the Shared Future.” The programme brings together emerging leaders under the age of 45 from several developing countries.

Zimbabwe’s team includes Central Committee member Cde Cecelia Verenga, Headlands legislator Cde Walter Mapfumo, Rushinga Women’s Quota MP Cde Barbra Thompson, and Cde Chinyanga from the Ministry of Youth. They will participate alongside delegates from Namibia, Lesotho, Mauritius and Nigeria.

The workshop will cover key areas such as China’s development path, artificial intelligence, poverty reduction models, ecological conservation, new media strategies, and rural revitalisation. Participants will engage in lectures, discussions and field tours designed to enhance practical understanding and strengthen collaboration among participating nations.
