ZANU PF Harare Province has completed its inter-district meetings, reaffirming support for the party’s resolution to persuade President Emmerson Mnangagwa to continue leading the country beyond 2028. The position, known as Resolution Number One, was adopted at the party’s National People’s Conference in Mutare last month.

The final meeting was held at Rufaro Stadium in Mbare on Tuesday, where provincial leaders briefed members on key outcomes from the annual conference. Speakers highlighted ongoing economic and infrastructure projects attributed to the Second Republic.

ZANU PF National Political Commissar Munyaradzi Machacha said the meetings were meant to communicate the resolution to grassroots structures and rally support for its implementation.

Harare provincial leaders also pointed to improvements in health facilities, investment inflows and re-engagement efforts. Party officials cited economic indicators, noting growth in GDP, government revenue and foreign currency reserves in recent years.

The gatherings also reinforced the province’s focus on mobilisation ahead of future national programmes, with USD1.6 million reportedly disbursed so far for Harare Province activities.

Members at the meeting expressed gratitude for development projects in their communities, while President Mnangagwa also honoured Gogo Whiza of Mbare and her family for sheltering liberation fighters during the war.
