Zimbabwe has once again taken centre stage on the international tourism and cultural diplomacy platform after being the only African nation invited to participate in the prestigious Reflect 25 Religious Conference held in Nuremberg, Germany.

The event ran from 21 to 23 November 2025.
The Biennial gathering, which draws nearly 500 delegates from Germany and Central Europe, is renowned for fostering interfaith dialogue, cultural exchange and global collaboration.

This year’s event offered Zimbabwe a unique opportunity to showcase its rich tourism tapestry, faith‑based heritage and enduring cultural values.

The Tourism Office in Berlin accompanied Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Germany, Her Excellency Alice Mashingaidze, who delivered a compelling address highlighting the nation’s warm hospitality, strong Christian foundations and globally renowned attractions such as Victoria Falls and the Great Zimbabwe Monuments.

Ambassador Mashingaidze emphasised Zimbabwe’s abundant wildlife and deep‑rooted cultural heritage.
“We invite delegates to experience the diversity and authenticity that recently earned Zimbabwe the title of the Number One Destination to Visit in 2025 by Forbes Magazine,” she said.

Complementing Ambassador Mashingaidze’s address was a dedicated Zimbabwe Tourism information desk set up at the conference venue. The exhibition provided delegates with detailed travel insights and showcased a wide range of tour options across the country.

Particular interests were  highlighted towards faith‑based tourism sites, including Bernard Mizeki Shrine, Mutemwa, ZCC Defe in Gokwe and several historic Catholic and Anglican cathedrals -locations that continue to attract thousands of spiritual pilgrims each year.

Delegates had the opportunity to engage directly with Zimbabwean tourism representatives, gaining first‑hand knowledge of the country’s unique offerings.
This interactive platform not only strengthened Zimbabwe’s visibility but also broadened understanding of its growing faith‑based tourism sector, an area the country is increasingly positioning as a niche attraction for both regional and international travellers.

Zimbabwe’s participation at Reflect 25 marked an important diplomatic and promotional milestone, solidifying the nation’s place on the global map as a diverse, welcoming and spiritually significant destination. As interest continues to grow, Zimbabwe’s presence at forums of this calibre reaffirms its commitment to expanding its tourism reach and deepening cultural ties with Europe and the rest of the world.
