Dr. Wushe Hails Brand Power at 2025 Superbrand Awards

Dr. T. U. Wushe, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, attended the 2025 Superbrand Awards last night, where he highlighted the crucial role strong brands play in advancing Zimbabwe’s industrial and commercial development.

He noted that the 2026 National Budget places brand equity at the centre of national competitiveness, reinforcing the theme: “Marketing Means Business: Brand Equity as a Balance Sheet Asset.”

With the country experiencing a resurgence in industrial activity, improved value chains, increased investment and rising business confidence, Dr. Wushe encouraged marketers to spearhead innovation, embrace digital transformation and prioritise top-quality products.

He stressed that solid brands build consumer trust, support economic stability and strengthen export capacity core foundations for Zimbabwe’s industrialisation drive.

He also pointed to digital presence, adherence to standards and efforts to curb counterfeits as essential factors in building credible and competitive brands.

Dr. Wushe applauded all the 2025 Superbrand winners for their resilience, excellence and outstanding leadership in brand development.
