Wicknell Chivayo Named Young African Philanthropist of the Year
Intratrek Zimbabwe chief executive Wicknell Chivayo has been celebrated for his growing influence in humanitarian work after being named Young African Philanthropist of the Year at the 15th African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year 2025 awards.
The recognition highlights Chivayo’s increasing role in community upliftment across the continent, where he has become known for large-scale charitable gestures and support for vulnerable groups.
The African Leadership Magazine confirmed the honour in a statement posted on X, applauding Chivayo for his “bold approach to giving” and for backing initiatives aimed at widening opportunities for those in need.
According to the publication, Chivayo’s philanthropic efforts demonstrate the rise of a new wave of African leaders who view social responsibility as central to nation-building and service to humanity.
The award places Chivayo among the continent’s most influential emerging philanthropists for 2025.
