President Mnangagwa has strengthened the Warriors’ preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with a US$400 000 donation, a gesture aimed at boosting player welfare as the team gears up for the Morocco tournament.

The contribution was announced in Harare during a send-off ceremony organised by ZIFA, where Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture Minister A. Sanyatwe delivered the message on behalf of the Head of State.

Hon Sanyatwe praised the President’s consistent backing of local sport, saying the support reflects a national commitment to unity, youth empowerment and development.

“I wish to express sincere gratitude to His Excellency for his unwavering dedication to sport,” he said. “The President continues to champion initiatives that position sport as a vital pillar of national cohesion.”

He also encouraged the corporate sector to rally behind the Warriors as they begin their final preparations for the continental showcase.
