Marinica Names Final Warriors Squad — Munetsi, Zemura Miss Out
Marian Marinica has named his squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with Marshall Munetsi and Jordan Zemura missing out due to injuries.
The final list was released on Thursday afternoon. Munetsi is recovering from a calf injury sustained during Wolverhampton’s match against Nottingham Forest last week, while Zemura picked up a thigh problem in Udinese’s 2-1 loss to Genoa on Monday.
Walter Musona has also been left out after failing a fitness test at the start of camp.
The tournament runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. Zimbabwe open their campaign against Egypt on 22 December at the Grand Stade d’Agadir at 7 PM CAT. They then face Angola on 26 December in Marrakech, before completing the group stage against South Africa on 29 December, also in Marrakech.
