Zimbabwe Unveils Tourism Offerings to United Kingdom Travel Trade
Zimbabwe has successfully presented its tourism story to the United Kingdom travel market at the inaugural Zimbabwe Travel Showcase, aimed at promoting the country as a top travel destination.
The Business-to-Business event brought together 53 travel agents from the UK, 10 tourism operators from Zimbabwe and Kenya Airways. The main goal was to increase the visibility of Brand Zimbabwe, build strong partnerships and support growth in the tourism sector.
The event was officially opened by Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Colonel (Retired) C. M. Katsande. During the showcase, Zimbabwe’s recognition by Forbes Magazine as the Number One Best Destination to Visit in 2025 was highlighted, boosting confidence in the country’s tourism appeal.
Participants were introduced to Zimbabwe’s wide range of attractions, including its famous natural wonders, rich wildlife and welcoming cultural heritage. The programme included destination presentations, networking sessions and virtual tours. One of the highlights was a live virtual tour featuring a surprise rhino sighting, which greatly impressed attendees.
Zimbabwean tourism operators used the platform to promote their lodges, resorts and travel packages. UK travel agents showed strong interest and requested more images and videos to help market Zimbabwe to their clients.
The showcase strengthened confidence in Zimbabwe as a travel destination and encouraged UK travel partners to expand their Zimbabwe travel offerings, contributing to increased tourist arrivals under the “Experience Zimbabwe” brand.
