President appoints two new Deputy Ministers

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Kiven Mutimbanyoka and Fred Moyo as Deputy Ministers, with the appointments taking effect immediately.

In a statement issued last night, the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya, said the appointments were made in accordance with Section 104 (2) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.

Cde Mutimbanyoka has been assigned to the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, while Cde Moyo has been appointed Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Development.

Dr Rushwaya said the President had exercised his constitutional mandate to appoint the two Members of Parliament to their respective portfolios.

The latest appointments form part of Government’s ongoing efforts to reinforce leadership structures and improve service delivery in key sectors of the economy.
