ZANU-PF Member Named in High-Profile Borrowdale Death Case
Cordelia Masalethulini (45), the younger sister of former top model Brita Masalethulini, was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, Fungai Quintone Tawengwa (46), a well-known ZANU-PF member.
According to neighbours, the couple had a heated dispute a day before Cordelia’s death. On Sunday, the two were reportedly seen together at Helensvale Shopping Centre before visiting a friend’s house in Borrowdale.
Another argument reportedly broke out there, prompting Cordelia to initially refuse to leave with Fungai. However, the pair later departed together, heading back home.
Cordelia’s body was later discovered half-naked along Domboshava Road in Borrowdale.
A security guard who first came across the body initially suspected a road traffic accident. However, police investigations later revealed indications that the incident was a murder.
Officers also reportedly found bloodstains in a room where the couple had earlier been, raising further questions about the events leading up to Cordelia’s death.
