Father Caught Having Lula Lula with Son’s Wife, Allegedly Kills Son and Stages Suicide

IN a shocking incident in Kadoma, a 78-year-old man allegedly killed his son after being caught red-handed in bed with his daughter-in-law.

Benjamin Harry is accused of arming himself with an iron bar during a heated confrontation with his son, Kudakwashe Harry (30), who reportedly found his father having lula lula with his wife, Evelyn Mashava (22).

The confrontation allegedly turned violent, with Benjamin striking his son with the iron bar, resulting in his instant death. The incident occurred on January 6.

Following the tragic event, Benjamin was arrested together with several other suspects, including his daughter-in-law Evelyn Mashava, Mike Hwata (36), William Grasham (34), Perfect Vembo (18), Tongai Mavhurume (18), and another boy aged 16.
All the accused are facing murder charges and were remanded in custody under case number Kadoma Rural 27/1/26.

Notably, Tongai Mavhurume and the minor are brothers to Evelyn Mashava.
However, conflicting versions of events have since emerged.

According to the first account, Kudakwashe arrived home and caught his father, Benjamin, having an illicit affair with his wife. A confrontation ensued, during which Benjamin allegedly struck Kudakwashe with an iron bar, killing him on the spot.

Panicking after the incident, Benjamin is said to have sought assistance from his daughter-in-law’s brothers to remove the body. It is alleged that he promised to compensate them by selling one of his cows.

The suspects allegedly dragged Kudakwashe’s body and hung it from a tree branch in an attempt to make the death appear as a suicide.

Another version claims that Perfect Vembo and William Grasham, who are also among the accused, are former lovers of Evelyn. On the day in question, they allegedly confronted the deceased, and the altercation is said to have contributed to Kudakwashe’s death.

There are also allegations that Benjamin approached neighbours for help in hanging the body in an attempt to disguise the murder as a suicide.

A post-mortem examination later revealed that Kudakwashe suffered severe head injuries consistent with being struck by an iron bar.

Further statements by Evelyn allege that her brothers were involved in the altercation while attempting to protect her from abuse by her husband.
