Senior management and board members recently held a strategic planning meeting to map the organisation’s direction for 2026, while reflecting on key achievements recorded in 2025 under the leadership of Hon. Mavetera.

The high-level meeting focused on aligning future programmes with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2), which seek to transform the country into an upper middle-income economy through sustainable development and innovation.

Key areas of discussion included digital transformation, infrastructure development, and economic growth, which are seen as critical pillars for national progress. Participants reviewed how ongoing and planned projects can support improved service delivery and enhance productivity across sectors.

The meeting also reflected on progress made in major national initiatives such as the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, which aims to strengthen Zimbabwe’s digital economy and promote innovation in emerging technologies.

In addition, the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme Phase 2 (ERRP2) featured prominently in discussions, with emphasis on its role in improving road networks, boosting connectivity, and positioning Zimbabwe as a regional logistics hub.

Officials expressed confidence that continued collaboration between management and the board will ensure effective implementation of policies and programmes that contribute to economic growth and national development in the coming years.
