Many Zimbabweans donβt realize that three of Implatsβ four mines: Mupfuti, Rukodzi, and Ngwarati are already depleted. This is after Implats has been mining an average of 3 million tons of platinum ore from each mine every year for the past 26 years. Now, theyβre opening a new mine called Mupani and theyβre forecasting extraction of 3.6 million tons from the new mine.
