NetOne Strengthens Digital Connectivity with New Products and Services

NetOne has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Zimbabwe’s digital transformation by rolling out customer-focused innovations and strengthening strategic leadership across its operations.

As the company sustains its upward growth momentum, a series of recent product upgrades and service enhancements highlight NetOne’s focus on improving connectivity, expanding access, and delivering meaningful value to customers nationwide.

In a move aimed at supporting the tourism industry, NetOne has introduced a dedicated Tourist SIM card, which is being distributed free of charge at major ports of entry, including airports. The initiative ensures that visitors gain immediate access to reliable and affordable mobile services upon arrival, reinforcing the country’s “Zimbabwe is Open for Business” drive.

Designed specifically for short-term visitors, the Tourist SIM provides flexible bundle options while remaining active for up to 90 days, allowing tourists to stay connected throughout their stay and enhancing Zimbabwe’s competitiveness as a preferred travel destination.

NetOne has also demonstrated responsiveness to changing consumer behaviour by restructuring its data service framework. The company has revised its off-peak internet hours to run from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., replacing the previous window of 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

The adjustment enables more users to benefit from faster and more affordable internet access during night hours, supporting activities such as downloads, system updates, and digital entertainment in line with rising national data usage trends.

These initiatives form part of a wider institutional strategy centred on sound governance, reform, and technology-led growth. Through partnerships such as its memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, NetOne is creating pathways for youth employment while accelerating digital and financial inclusion across all ten provinces.

With a leadership approach grounded in accountability, transparency, and integrity, NetOne continues to refine its services based on customer feedback. The company’s forward-looking strategy positions it as a key enabler of Zimbabwe’s transition toward a resilient, inclusive, and technology-driven economy.
