Zimbabwean youth leaders are currently in Kenya for a high-level Youth Exchange Programme aimed at nurturing a disciplined, visionary, and mindful generation of young leaders.

The delegation includes the Deputy Minister of Youth, Empowerment and Vocational Training, Kudakwashe Mupamhanga; Manicaland Youth Quota MP and ZANU PF Youth League Chairperson Stanley Sakupwanya; as well as Youth League National Executive Council member from Midlands Province, Rungano Mandivavarira Tashinga Sakupwanya.

The exchange programme is designed to expose Zimbabwean youth leaders to regional best practices in governance, empowerment initiatives, and sustainable development strategies. It also seeks to strengthen collaboration and shared learning between young leaders in Zimbabwe and Kenya.

Officials said the initiative aligns with President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s call for a new generation that carries the torch of noble leadership, patriotism, and national development. The programme places emphasis on discipline, innovation, and continental cooperation as key pillars for Africa’s future.

By participating in the exchange, Zimbabwe’s young leaders are expected to gain valuable insights that will enhance youth-focused policies and programmes back home, while promoting the country’s development agenda on the regional and continental stage.

The visit also reflects the Government’s broader commitment to youth empowerment as a cornerstone for achieving Vision 2030, which seeks to transform Zimbabwe into an upper-middle-income economy driven, in part, by an active and empowered young population.
