Correctional Queens Star Thandazile Ndlovu Receives Official Send-Off for Asian Netball Tour
The Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) Correctional Queens have bid farewell to one of their standout players, Thandazile Ndlovu, as she departs for a high-profile netball tour in Asia.
Ndlovu’s send-off began on Wednesday at the Harare Central Mess, where she met with the Deputy Commissioner Generals of the ZPCS. Accompanied by the ZPCS Sports Office, she received words of encouragement and congratulations from senior officials, who urged her to represent both the nation and the Correctional Service with distinction.
The morale and support reached a climax today at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport. Colleagues and teammates from the Correctional Queens gathered to give Ndlovu a memorable farewell, celebrating her determination, grit, and commitment to the sport.
The 27-year-old player will be based in Singapore from 27 February to 30 March before moving to Malaysia, where she will compete from 1 April to 10 May. Ndlovu is scheduled to return to Zimbabwe on 11 May.
Speaking ahead of her departure, Ndlovu said, “I am determined to work hard and deliver results.” She carries not only her personal ambitions but also the collective hopes of the entire ZPCS community.
