The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Prof. Dr. Amon Murwira, yesterday received a group of Ambassador-Designates ahead of their formal accreditation to Zimbabwe.
The diplomats include Mr. Maekawa Nobutaka of Japan, Mr. Giuseppe Giacalone of Italy, and Mr. David Thomas of Namibia. They are set to present their Letters of Credence to His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, at State House on dates to be officially announced.
Minister Murwira emphasized that Zimbabwe remains committed to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation with partner nations across multiple sectors of mutual interest.
Diplomatic sources say the new appointments are expected to further deepen trade, investment, and cultural ties between Zimbabwe and these partner countries.
