Highlanders Make Diplomatic Stop in Botswana Ahead of New Season
The Highlanders FC delegation temporarily stepped away from on-field duties to pay a courtesy visit to Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Botswana, His Excellency Batiraishe Henry Mukonoweshuro.
The meeting, held in Botswana, formed part of the club’s broader engagements as preparations for the 2026 season gather momentum. Club representatives said the visit underscored the growing role of football in strengthening relations beyond sport.
During the interaction, Ambassador Mukonoweshuro welcomed the Bulawayo outfit and applauded their role in promoting the image of Zimbabwe through football.
Highlanders expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed their focus on maintaining momentum ahead of the new domestic campaign.
