St Clare’s School Girls Die in Accidental Drowning in Murehwa

A tragic incident has shocked residents of Zihute Village, in Murehwa, after two young girls lost their lives.

The girls, believed to be around 11 years old, were pupils at St Clare’s School. Their bodies were discovered in a small water-filled pit that had formed after people dug pit sand for construction purposes.

The water body is located along the route the girls usually use when walking to school. It is not yet known how the two ended up in the water, and the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

The tragedy has left the local community in deep mourning.

Police have since launched investigations into the matter and said a full statement will be issued once all facts have been established.
