The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, in a high-profile partnership with the Nyaradzo Group, recently hosted the First Lady’s Careers Expo.
The event successfully drew over 2,000 learners representing schools from all ten provinces of Zimbabwe.
The Expo was graced by the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, whose presence underscored the Government’s strong commitment to structured career guidance.
Central to the event was the promotion of the Heritage-Based Curriculum, designed to align student learning with national identity and economic needs.
The platform provided a rare opportunity for students to engage directly with leading universities, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and private sector companies.
The Expo functioned as a comprehensive information hub, showcasing diverse academic programmes, specialised skills training, and various scholarship opportunities.
A major focus was placed on emerging career fields that are considered essential to Zimbabwe’s national development priorities.
Through interaction with industry experts, learners gained critical insights needed to make informed decisions regarding their subject specialisations and future career paths.
