New Healthcare Fleet Boosts Service Delivery in Midlands

In a significant move to bridge the gap in medical accessibility, the Second Republic has further solidified its commitment to the health sector with the commissioning of a sophisticated fleet of medical vehicles destined for Midlands Province.

Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Owen Ncube, officially unveiled a highly equipped mobile outreach clinic truck, a state-of-the-art ambulance, a minibus, and additional service vehicles during a ceremony held at Gweru Provincial Hospital.

This latest injection of resources marks a pivotal step in the Government’s ongoing drive to decentralise healthcare and bring essential services directly to the doorstep of every citizen.

The deployment of these vehicles, which are earmarked for the Gweru and Zvishavane districts, is expected to drastically reduce the distance patients must travel to receive professional care.

By integrating a mobile clinic into the provincial fleet, the Government is effectively reaching the most remote areas, ensuring that the promise of “leaving no one and no place behind” is not merely a slogan but a tangible reality for the people of Midlands.
