ZANU PF has officially welcomed back one of its founding stalwarts, Cde Didymus Mutasa. The announcement was made by the party’s Secretary for Information and Publicity, Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa, during a press conference held today at the party’s headquarters.

The return of Cde Mutasa follows an olive branch extended by His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, as part of a broader gesture of reconciliation within the party’s leadership structures. Ambassador Mutsvangwa highlighted that Cde Mutasa has been admitted into the Council of Elders, a body composed of veteran nationalists who provide guidance and wisdom to the party’s current leadership.

“One of the stalwarts of the revolutionary party has returned to ZANU PF,” Ambassador Mutsvangwa said. “What remains central is that each one of us left our homes to join the liberation struggle. Cde Didymus Mutasa has now returned and has been admitted into the Council of Elders.”

The Ambassador emphasized that this homecoming is rooted in the shared history of the liberation struggle, noting that the party remains focused on the monumental task of national development.
