TelOne recently partnered with Discovery Ambulance Services to host a comprehensive free medical outreach programme in Ward 30 of the Redcliff District.

This corporate social investment initiative provided essential medical treatment to 1,000 residents who gathered to access various healthcare services at no cost.

In addition to clinical consultations, 40 community members participated in specialised first aid training to help improve emergency response capabilities within the local area.

The event highlights a continued commitment to enhancing healthcare access for marginalised communities across Zimbabwe. By bringing these services directly to the people, the organisers aim to support the Government’s National Development Strategy 2 and the broader goals of Vision 2030.

High-level officials attended the outreach to show their support, including the Member of Parliament for Redcliff, Hon. July Moyo, and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. David Kudakwashe Mnangagwa.

The collaboration between the national telecommunications entity and Discovery Ambulance Services ensured that a wide range of health needs were met during the single-day event.

This outreach serves as a practical example of how corporate partnerships can address immediate social needs while strengthening the national health pillar.

Residents expressed gratitude for the intervention, which provided both immediate relief through medical care and long-term value through the training of local First Aid responders.
