The ZANU PF Secretary General, Jacob F. N. Mudenda, has called on party leaders to embrace humility and remain grounded in service as the ruling party rolls out its provincial outreach programme in the Midlands.

Addressing party members, Advocate Mudenda delivered a strong message on leadership values, warning against attachment to positions of authority.

“Leadership roles within the party are temporary and should never overshadow the core mandate of serving the people and strengthening the party.

“Positions come and go, but the duty to serve the party and the nation remains constant cadres must focus on hard work, unity, and discipline rather than personal ambition,” he said.

Mudenda further underscored the importance of adhering to the party’s constitutional principles, particularly in safeguarding control over local production and natural resources.

He stressed that communities must take charge of their economic destiny, in line with the party’s long-standing empowerment agenda.

“Our constitution guides us to be in charge of our production and natural resources in our respective areas. This is key to building sustainable livelihoods and strengthening our economy,” he noted.

The Secretary General also reminded members that the journey towards achieving the party’s long-term goals is ongoing and requires unwavering commitment.

He called for resilience and loyalty among party structures, urging members to remain focused despite challenges.

“The road ahead is still long, but with unity, discipline, and dedication, we will continue advancing the interests of the party and the nation,” Hon. Mudenda added.

The Midlands outreach programme forms part of ZANU PF’s broader strategy to consolidate grassroots support, reinforce party ideology, and mobilise members towards national development objectives.
