Zimbabwe and Spain explore New Investment Opportunities
The Government of Zimbabwe and Spain have strengthened bilateral relations through renewed discussions focused on investment and development cooperation across key sectors.
This high-level meeting was held at the New Parliament Building in Mt. Hampden this morning, where the Spanish Ambassador, Her Excellency Mrs. Lourdes Sangróniz, met with the Speaker of Parliament, Honourable J.F.N. Mudenda, to explore areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Sangróniz highlighted that Spain is ready to support Zimbabwe’s development beyond its global reputation for football and cuisine.
“Spain is keen to invest in mining, tourism, trade, agriculture, and renewable energy,” she said.
Hon. Speaker Mudenda commended Spanish institutions for their ongoing contributions, particularly in education and the health sector.
He acknowledged their role in improving community welfare across the country.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both sides expressing optimism about future cooperation, with Zimbabwe positioning itself as open for business.
