Kadoma Man Arrested After Wife and Pregnant Daughter Killed

A 45-year-old man has been arrested after his wife and pregnant daughter were fatally stabbed in Victory Park, Kadoma, the Zimbabwe Republic Police said on May 4, 2026.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed that Obert Namurokosi was taken into custody in connection with the two deaths, stating: “ZRP confirms the arrest of Obert Namurokosi (45) in connection with two murder cases.”
According to police, the incident began with a domestic dispute on May 2, 2026.
“On 02/05/26, the suspect allegedly had a domestic dispute with his wife, Cynthia Namurokosi (45), after which she sought refuge at their daughter’s residence,” the statement read.
The following day, authorities allege that Namurokosi followed his wife to the daughter’s home while armed with a kitchen knife.
“On 03/05/26, the suspect reportedly followed his wife to their daughter’s residence, armed with a kitchen knife, and attacked both victims,” the ZRP said.
Police identified the victims as Cynthia Namurokosi, 45, and their daughter, Takudzwa Namurokosi, 23, who was nine months pregnant at the time. The statement described the alleged attack:
“He allegedly stabbed his daughter multiple times before turning on his wife and stabbing her in the neck.”
