The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the death of Malcom Takudzwa Muzavazi, who was fatally attacked on September 24, 2026, between 6pm and 6.30pm.
The incident occurred along a footpath between the ZESA Holdings durawall and a car sale in Southerton.
According to police, the dogs comprised a male Belgian Malinois and three Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd crossbreeds.
The dogs were reportedly under the care of a private security guard who had released them from their kennels for feeding when they attacked Muzavazi.
Police said the security guard, Mannex Svova, 21, and the co-owner of the car sale, Itai Tamirepi, 43, have been arrested.
The two are assisting police with investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack.
