A 39-year-old man was mauled to death by dogs at an open ground near Plot 104 in Sabonabona, Eiffel Flats, Kadoma, with police launching investigations into the incident.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the incident occurred on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at around 7pm.
The victim’s body was later discovered at the scene, naked, with his clothes torn apart and multiple dog-bite injuries sustained during the attack.
Police have since urged dog owners to ensure that their animals are properly secured at all times to prevent attacks and protect members of the public.
The ZRP also reminded dog owners to comply with relevant local authority by-laws governing the keeping and control of dogs.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack are ongoing.
