The City of Harare Fire Brigade responded swiftly to a fire that broke out at Magaba Home Industry in Mbare on Tuesday, successfully bringing the blaze under control before it spread to nearby workshops and residential properties.

In a public statement, the City of Harare urged residents to report fire incidents as soon as they occur, stressing that prompt reporting allows firefighters to respond quickly and minimise the spread of flames and the resulting damage.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established and remains under investigation. Magaba Home Industry is one of Harare’s busiest informal industrial centres, known for metal fabrication, welding and furniture manufacturing.
