The countdown is on! Join us at Donnybrook Park on July 4 as the Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival celebrates local talent, great music, and unforgettable winter moments. See you around the fire.

The Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival has announced changes to its entertainment lineup ahead of the highly anticipated event set for July 4 at Donnybrook Park in Harare.

South African amapiano star  Musa Keys will no longer perform at the festival, with organisers opting to place greater emphasis on Zimbabwean artists and homegrown talent.

The revised lineup marks a shift in focus as the festival seeks to celebrate local creativity and strengthen its cultural identity.

Despite the change, organisers say the event remains committed to delivering the signature winter experience that has made the festival popular among entertainment lovers. The Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival continues to position itself as a celebration of music, storytelling, outdoor culture and social connection.

The festival, which returns after a four-year hiatus, aims to revive the spirit of Zimbabwe’s outdoor lifestyle experience by bringing people together around a communal bonfire. Organisers have described the event as more than just a music festival, emphasizing its role in celebrating the great outdoors and fostering meaningful connections among festivalgoers. (ZIMBUZZ)

Set against the backdrop of Donnybrook Park, the event is expected to feature performances from leading Zimbabwean acts, alongside various entertainment activities designed to create an immersive winter atmosphere.

By placing local artists at the centre of the festival, organisers hope to showcase the richness of Zimbabwe’s music scene while maintaining the event’s identity as the country’s ultimate winter celebration.

The Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival takes place on July 4 at Donnybrook Park in Harare.
