The court heard that Mugabe Jnr was caught with two grams of dagga. He had initially appeared in court last month, and the case resumed today for the commencement of trial proceedings.
During mitigation, Mugabe Jnr appealed for a lighter sentence, explaining that he is a single father of two children.
Sentencing is expected to take place later this afternoon.
