The Presidential Programme for Professionals (PP4P) is set to take its 2026 public lecture series to Matabeleland South, using community radio to reach young and emerging professionals in Manama, Gwanda and surrounding areas.
According to infromation seen by Hurumende news crew , PP4P national chairman Kudzai Ngirazi will feature on Ntepe-Manama Community Radio’s Bambanani programme on Wednesday, 9 September 2026. The interview is scheduled to run from 3pm to 3.30pm on 97.0 FM.
The broadcast forms part of PP4P’s wider 2026 public lecture series, which the organisation says is being taken to universities, colleges and polytechnics to engage students, young professionals and emerging talent.
The programme’s stated theme is “Building a sustainable future: Professionals contributing to Vision 2030.” Its official website presents PP4P as a platform intended to connect professionals with national development efforts, while promoting mentorship, skills development, innovation and collaboration between government, industry and the professional community.
The Matabeleland South engagement gives the initiative a local outreach dimension, particularly through Ntepe-Manama Community Radio, which was established to improve access to information for communities in and around Manama. The station broadcasts in SeSotho and was launched as part of efforts to give marginalised communities a platform to discuss local development issues.
PP4P’s outreach comes at a time when universities, colleges and polytechnics are increasingly being positioned as sources of research, innovation and practical solutions to national economic challenges.
At its 2026 Annual Stakeholder Convention, the programme said higher and tertiary education institutions should play a greater role in shaping Zimbabwe’s innovation agenda and linking research to industry and enterprise development.
The organisation’s national chairman, Ngirazi, has previously said institutions of higher learning should not be viewed only as centres for training, but also as spaces where research, invention and problem-solving take place.
By taking the lecture series to provincial communities and combining physical engagement with community-radio broadcasting, PP4P is seeking to broaden participation in its professional network beyond major urban centres.
The success of that approach, however, will depend on whether the dialogue produces practical opportunities for mentorship, innovation funding, skills development and meaningful participation in national programmes.
