Three adult bodies were retrieved from a sewage pond in Budiriro 3 on Sunday morning, prompting investigations by authorities to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Harare City Council officials, including Deputy Mayor Councillor Rosemary Muronda, Councillor Bhingali, Councillor Chad Hague, Councillor Dzinemurumbi and Councillor Pedzisai, attended the scene as emergency teams recovered the bodies.
According to information released by local authorities, the bodies were discovered in a sewage bond in Budiriro 3, with investigations now underway to determine how the victims ended up in the water and what may have led to their deaths.
The recovery operation attracted the attention of residents and community leaders, while emergency personnel worked at the scene.
Authorities had not yet released the identities of the deceased at the time of publication, pending notification of next of kin and completion of preliminary investigations.
