Crystal Palace Break Club Record with 19-game Unbeaten Run
Crystal Palace have set a new club record after stretching their unbeaten run to 19 matches with a 2-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa Conference League.
It marks the longest sequence without defeat in the Eagles’ 120-year history and underlines the dramatic turnaround achieved under manager Oliver Glasner. Just a year ago, Palace were 18th in the Premier League and winless, with relegation concerns mounting.
Since their last defeat — a 5-0 loss to Newcastle United on 16 April — Palace have lifted the FA Cup, climbed to third in the Premier League, and opened their first ever European group-stage campaign with an away win.
Thursday’s triumph in Kyiv, secured by first-half goals from Daniel Muñoz and Eddie Nketiah before Borna Sosa’s red card, came only days after Palace ended Liverpool’s perfect league start. That result equalled the 18-match unbeaten streak recorded between February and August 1969, before the Eagles surpassed it in Ukraine.
The strength of their opposition highlights the scale of their progress. During the run, Palace have beaten Liverpool twice, drawn with both Arsenal and Chelsea, and edged Manchester City in the FA Cup final. Their defensive record has been equally impressive, with only three goals conceded in six league matches this season despite facing four clubs that finished in last year’s top seven.
The transformation is stark when compared with the same stage last season, when Palace had lost five of their first eight league games and waited until late October for their first victory.
Only Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have collected more Premier League points in 2025, while no team across Europe’s top five leagues currently boasts a longer unbeaten streak — Bayern Munich are next on nine.
For Glasner’s side, the historic run is less a destination than a foundation. With domestic and European challenges ahead, Palace have gone from relegation fears to genuine contenders, rewriting their history along the way.
