Former MDC-T Vice President and ex-Deputy Prime Minister Thokozani Khupe has died at the age of 62 after a long battle with cancer.
Khupe served as Deputy Prime Minister in Zimbabwe’s Government of National Unity from 2009 to 2013 under the late MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai.
She was one of Zimbabwe’s most prominent female politicians and played a significant role in the country’s opposition politics over the past two decades.
Further details surrounding her death, including funeral arrangements and official statements from family and political leaders, are expected to be released soon.
