ZANU-PF Harare Province Chairman Cde Goodwills Masimirembwa has ordered all affiliate organisations to immediately suspend their individual programmes and activities, channelling full resources into a massive grassroots mobilisation drive targeting over 600 000 party members ahead of the National Cell Day commemorations at the end of June.
At a high-stakes interactive meeting held yesterday at the ZANU-PF Harare Province offices, Cde Masimirembwa rallied leaders from across the province’s zones to prioritise the ongoing restructuring exercise, describing it as a strategic foundation to consolidate the party’s presence at grassroots level.
“The restructuring exercise is not just an administrative process, but a strategic foundation for strengthening the party machinery and ensuring effective mobilisation at branch, district and provincial levels. Every affiliate organization must fully participate and align its operations with the party direction,” said Cde Masimirembwa.
The directive affects a sprawling network of affiliate groups, including Teachers for ED, Boyz Dzamdara, Pastors for ED, Young Women for ED, Men BelievED, Hairdressers for ED, Mechanics for ED, Vapositori for ED, ZIMSPORTS for ED, Nurse Aides for ED, Varakashi for ED, Sisters for ED, Funeral Service Providers for ED, Fathers for ED, Cross Border Traders for ED, Builders for ED, Masowe for ED, Chengaose for ED, Women Business Initiative for ED, Title Deeds for ED and Musicians for ED – among others.
Masimirembwa urged affiliate leaders to intensify mobilisation campaigns, recruit new members and ensure structures remain active and visible in communities, while remaining disciplined and united in defending the gains of the liberation struggle.
Affiliate leaders present pledged full support for the restructuring exercise, vowing to mobilise communities across Harare Province behind the party’s developmental agenda.
The engagement signals growing momentum in Harare Province as ZANU-PF accelerates structural consolidation and grassroots participation ahead of major national events.
